St. Marks NWR

I think my first National Wildlife Refuge visit was back in TX, back in 2010, and I remember going there to look for gators - and finding them!  And I have been a fan of them (both NWRs and gators!) since then.  So while in Tallahassee, we made a visit to St. Marks NWR.
Only saw this one gator, but he was a good-looking guy and RIGHT next to the visitor center trail!

Looking back at the visitor center.

 Teeny weeny little snake!
We drove on to explore the rest of the NWR and found some pretty water lily-covered waterways.

 The old St. Marks Lighthouse.
A pretty NWR - worth a stop, even if only one gator showed up that day!
