Abbeville, LA

So, back to a little pre-Hayes road trip...
 on a cloudy, foggy day...
 on the I-10...
we were glad we didn't end up in the ditch too!!!  Muddy, boggy shoulders = not good for 'off-roading' when it's been raining!
Rice/crawfish fields (we found out they alternate the two).

Good thing I'd read the reviews and knew to expect this mile-long little narrow road that goes only to the RV park...!  Otherwise, we might have been getting worried right about now!!
Our first day here remained sort of gunky weather.  But not to fear!  You can always eat, no matter the temperature!
So we went here for lunch.  A very short jaunt from our campground, and named after Bill's first mountain lion!  No?  OK, maybe not but still kind of cool...
We enjoyed their food (one of many places to get oysters of any variety...this place even had "candied oysters!"), but the hospitality was even better!  Here, one of the owners and our sweet waitress agreed to pose with Bill  :)
And to take our picture...
