Our little campground, and its one mile long entrance, were a great place for cat rides!
Who knew...Scratty in her element!
Spring hasn't quite gotten here yet, but it's coming on rapidly!
Tractor on the bed, in late afternoon light...
We went into town for dinner at one of the more famed restaurants, and wow, was I glad we had a 20 min. wait!! What a gorgeous scene on the bayou!!!
St. Mary Magdalen in last light.
These folks had a great evening for a wedding!
One of the claims to fame for this area.
Hmmm, you won't find ME slurping down raw oysters, but you'll sure as heck find LOTS of others doing so around here!!! Abbeville is a seafood mecca! And oysters top the list, along with crawfish, catfish,... Some sweet folks at the table next to us had one member who ate at least 3 of these platters! And he was holding back!! DuPuy's was as good as touted! We tried their Caesar salad, sweet, spicy gator sausage, corn and crab bisque (me), and seafood gumbo (Bill), and then topped it all off with a beautiful and yummy coconut cake! (If I didn't have a cold right now, my mouth would be watering...!! As it is, it's just my nose...!)
And a couple of evening photos from the campground to close out the day with...
Nighty-night!
Don't let those nasty mosquito bugs bite!
