Another day, another campground...!

On Friday the 13th (cue the scary music...), we pulled into Kerrville, TX.  We stayed at the Guadalupe River RV Resort.  At first, it just looked like a slightly nicer parking lot, but then we discovered the green belt/forest by the river below the RV area - very nice!
Here are some images from a beautiful sunny day there (Sat. the 14th - see, what's so scary about a date?!), including this one of a couple enjoying the serene scene from a swing (I love alliteration, have you noticed?!   ;)

But, in case you were feeling too serene...  Just know - it's all good - but you gotta look out for your own self!  Gee, what a concept!  Hey, have a good time, you can go in the river and play, but duh, be careful!  And just so you know, we didn't see ANY of those pests!  One of the advantages of going mid-winter!

This isn't a great shot, but I included it to show how big this tree trunk is!  Those kitties are looking like mini-Tractors and mini-Scratties!

The first afternoon we got here, there was a pretty good sunset, and I realized how nice a shot would be possible down here by the river, but I didn't want to interrupt our cat/dog walk to run back and get my camera and tripod, etc.  So I didn't.  I figured I might get another shot at it on one of the other two evenings we would be there.  Nope!  Saturday evening was cloudless so no sunset color to speak of. Sunday was completely cloudy (perfect for hiking, which you will see in the next post), and Monday (the day we left) was just downright miserable!

But continuing our sunny, happy day...  The kitties awe a little poodle dog.

And hey, let's get to know each other, shall we?!

Scratty says:  "You smell like Tractor's butt!"

Looking back up at the RV "parking lot."

The kitties overheat and decide to plop in the shade.

We get tired of waiting for them to recover and decide to move on, but Fatty Scratty needs a lift.  "Thanks Dad!"
